to selecting Zacks products that are best-suited for your
equity research needs
Zacks offers you a flexible line
of equity research products. If you are just interested in getting
data files for use with your existing databases and spreadsheet
programs, we can do that. If you want the convenience of an integrated
system that includes data and software to analyze it, Zacks offers
that too. If you want to do your research using only your browser,
Zacks has it too.
Zacks

Zacks
Internet-Integrated equity research system is a suite of investment
software that is installed on your PC, but is accessing databases
from Zacks servers. You do not need to worry about downloading
and updating your data and will not have to be concern with your
computer or network drive space. To learn more about these applications,

PC-Based
Applications
These products are installed on
your PC or LAN, and you are also accessing databases stored on
your PC or Network. These products provide the ultimate in customization
of your process, allowing you to combine various sources of data
into one coherent system. If you select to purchase both the Zacks
data and software, we offer several subscription levels so you
can select one that will benefit you most. You can choose form
the suggested combinations below or talk to your Zacks sales rep
for a custom selection. To

When you subscribe to Zacks PC-Based
applications, you can select from several data delivery options:
monthly CD-ROM; daily, weekly or monthly FTP downloads; or you
can choose to access all daily, weekly, and monthly databases
directly over the Internet with no need to download data.
When discussing your data delivery
preferences with your Zacks sales rep, please specify you data
delivery requirements, as some data delivery options can be more
beneficial to you then other, based upon you specific needs.
For example, you can choose to
receive you data via monthly CD-ROM. It will be send to you the
first week of a new month, and will contain databases as of the
previous month's end.
If you want to update your data
more frequently, you can combined the CD-ROM data delivery with
the weekly or daily updates using the
File Transfer Protocol
(FTP). As a backup option, you can also download/update some databases
and files using our ZRS
DOWNLOAD page.
You monthly CD-ROM has an additional
software that will allow you to automate your download process,
so you do not have to be in front of your computer to update the
data. Once you have specified your day and time download preferences,
the update process will be done automatically. Just remember to
leave your computer on!
Suggested
Data/Software Combinations for PC-Based Applications:
1) Current Market Fundamental
and Estimate Data plus Current Market Aggregate Data
This suggested combination will
provide you with the database of over 6,300 active companies as
well as two aggregate databases. The Zacks Current Market database
includes company description, size and share volume information,
price and price changes, analyst recommendations and recommendation
changes, annual and quarterly consensus estimate data, expected
report dates, growth rates, actual EPS, valuation and financial
ratios, and Income/Balance Sheet items.
Aggregate databases provide current
statistics for over 200 industries and for over 15 sectors that
are represented by active companies in Zacks Current Market database.
Data provided includes industry description, growth rates, margins,
valuation and financial ratios.

2) Current Market Fundamental
and Estimate Data, Current Market Aggregate Data, plus Current
Market Historical and Historical Fundamental Data and Detailed
Estimates Data
This suggested combination, in
addition to the Set 1 above, will provide you with the Active
Companies Historical and Annual and /or Quarterly Historical Fundamental
data, Detailed Individual Analyst Current Estimate and Recommendations
data, historical daily and or/weekly prices, as well as Historical
Economic and Exchange Rates data.
Active Companies Historical Data
database has a universe of over 6,300 active companies with 144
months of monthly history for price, volume, growth rates, consensus
estimates and estimate revisions, surprises, actual EPS, broker
and Zacks ratings and ratio items. Annual Fundamental Data database
has a universe of over 6,300 active companies and covers 12 years
of annual income statement and balance sheet items and 5 years
of cash flow items;10-K data.
Quarterly Fundamental Data database
has a universe of over 6,300 active companies and covers 6 years
(24 Quarters) of quarterly income statement and balance sheet
items;10-Q data.
Daily Prices database has a universe
of over 7,400 active companies with the 560 days of daily price
and volume data.
Weekly Prices database has a universe
of over 7,400 active companies with the 625 weeks of weekly price
and volume data.
Historical Economic Indicators
database has 1225 years monthly history for various economic data,
including: 144 months of data for Treasury Bonds, corporate bonds,
municipal bonds and FHA mortgages, 144 months for Prime Rate,
Treasury Bill discount, and Federal Funds, 181 months covering
indicators and indices such as Consumer Credit, Personal Income,
Housing Starts, Capital Utilization, Unemployment Rates, CPI,
GRP, GNP and PPI; 181 months money supply data (M1, M2, M3).
Historical Currency Exchange Rates
database has 144 months of foreign exchange rates for over 50
major currencies.
Individual Analyst Current Estimate
and Recommendations database provides a detailed picture of the
current analyst estimates and recommendations for over 5,600 companies
from 8,000 analysts at more than 280 brokerage firms. Data includes
current and next fiscal quarter estimates, current and next fiscal
year estimates, current broker ratings and rating changes, Zacks
Rank, and consensus data for estimates and recommendations. Also
includes analysts track record and ratings performance.

3) Current Market Fundamental

Data, plus Backtesting Databases
This suggested combination in addition
to the Set 2 above, will provide you with the Active and Research
Companies Data (Backtesting Databases).
Zacks Primary Backtesting database
has a universe of over 8,000 companies (roughly 4,000 active and
4,000 research companies) with 15 years of price, volume, growth
rates, consensus estimates and estimate revisions, surprises,
actual EPS, broker and Zacks ratings and ratio items as well as
fundamental items. This database ticker set includes members of
the S&P 1500 plus domestic stocks that have had a market capitalization
of over $100 million or have been in the top 1000 stocks by market
capitalization in any time of the last 20 years.
Zacks Secondary Backtesting database
has a universe of over 3,000 different companies (roughly 1,500
active and 1,500 research companies) with 15 years of price, volume,
growth rates, consensus estimates and estimate revisions, surprises,
actual EPS, broker and Zacks ratings and ratio items as well as
fundamental items. This database ticker set includes ADR's. REIT's,
closed end investment companies, and secondary class of common
stock plus stocks with smaller market capitalization.
We are also offering Standard &
Poor's COMPUSTAT® databases per our licensing agreement with
them.
