Zacks Current Data Available Current Data Sets Current Market Fundamental and Estimate Data Current Market Data database has a universe of over 7,500 active companies and includes company description, size and share volume information, price and price changes, analyst recommendations and recommendation changes, annual and quarterly consensus estimate data, expected report dates, growth rates, actual EPS, valuation and financial ratios, and Income/Balance Sheet items.* Zacks EPS estimates and actuals have been and continue to be maintained in conformance with a proprietary definition of operating earnings per share before extraordinary and non-recurring items. Comparison between Zacks estimates and Zacks actuals is a comparison between definitionally-comparable numbers. Current Market Aggregate Data Aggregate Industry database provides current statistics for over 200 industries that are represented by active companies in Zacks Current Market database. Data provided includes industry description, growth rates, margins, valuation and financial ratios.* Aggregate Sector database provides current statistics for over 15 sectors that are represented by active companies in Zacks Current Market Database. Data provided includes industry description, growth rates, margins, valuation and financial ratios.* Individual Analyst Current Estimate and Recommendations ** Individual Analyst Current Estimate and Recommendations database provides a detailed picture of the current analyst estimates and recommendations for over 7,500 companies from 8,000 analysts at more than 280 brokerage firms. Data includes current and next fiscal quarter estimates, current and next fiscal year estimates, current broker ratings and rating changes, Zacks Rank, and consensus data for estimates and recommendations. Also includes analysts track record and ratings performance. Updates available on daily or weekly frequencies.* * Requires Zacks software. Available Current Data Files Fast Fundamentals/EPS Surprises Each files shows estimate and earnings-related data for companies reporting their quarterly EPS during the course of the day. Earnings reports are input continuously throughout the day. The file itself is updated to reflect its current status, it is produced periodically during trading day (at least six cumulative updates, more during heavy reporting periods). Record count varies per number of day's earnings reports. Each record shows reported quarterly EPS and fundamental statistics for company, plus consensus estimate statistics and EPS Surprise. The file has the followed data fields, but not all the companies will have all the data at all time: report date, quarter end date, actual EPS (BNRI) diluted, consensus estimate for quarter reported, percentage Surprise, defined as (actual - estimate)/(absolute value of estimate)*100, Standard Deviation of consensus, number of estimates in consensus, diluted shares outstanding, quarterly sales, Income before extraordinary items and discontinued operations, extraordinary items, discontinued operations, Net income after extraordinary items & discontinued operations, Net Income EPS (diluted), Net Income EPS (basic). Estimate Revisions These files are produced nightly. Each file comprises one day's entry of new brokerage research information to the Zacks estimate database. Record count varies per nightly entry of data to Zacks' internal database. Each record shows a revision of a broker's estimate for one fiscal period for one company. Consensus Estimates This file is produced nightly. shows current status of consensus statistics for seven fiscal periods for all companies in Zacks Universe. Each record contains fifty-six items, showing consensus EPS statistics plus Zacks' 30-day consensus statistics (mean, median, standard deviation, number of estimates) for three fiscal quarters, three fiscal years, long-term growth. The Zacks Consensus population for any giver stock/fiscal period represents the current status of all estimates for that stock and fiscal period, from all contributing brokers. An estimate's inclusion is the consensus population is based upon Zacks' continued confirmation of the estimates' status as a current estimate, and does not depend upon how recently the estimate was issued or changed. Recommendation Revisions These files are produced nightly. Record count varies per nightly entry of data to Zacks' internal database. Each record shows a revision of a broker's estimate for one fiscal period for one company. Recommendation value are expressed as Zacks Standardized Ratings Equivalents, on a scale of 1.0 to 5.0. Recommendations Consensus This file is produced nightly for all companies in Zacks Universe. One record per company. Each record shows consigns recommendation for company, plus tally counts depicting distribution of individual broker recommendations. Population: all stocks having a valid recommendation and also having a valid estimate. Information available includes number of analysts with ratings, average recommendation, number of analysts with strong buy, buy, hold, sell, strong sell and no rating. Recommendation value are expressed as Zacks Standardized Ratings Equivalents, on a scale of 1.0 to 5.0. Prices These files are produced nightly. Approximately 8,000 records; keyed by CUSIP, ticker, and company name; providing day's high, low, closing price and trading volume. Expected Earnings Report Dates These files are produced nightly. Record count varies. Each record identifies a company expected to report EPS within two weeks, and shows consensus EPS information for the quarter expected to report. Dividends These files are produced weekly. Record count varies. Each record identifies a company with an upcoming or recent dividend payment and provides relevant date and payment information. file shows only cash dividends paid in US or Canadian dollars (excluding return of capital and liquidation dividends). Population: all stocks which have either announced dividends within the last 14 days, or which have ex-dividend dates within the next 14 days. Additional Data Files (available in HTML format) Company descriptions, Management Discussion, and Business descriptions for about 6,000 companies. Brokerage Research Reports and their Abstracts: Zacks summarizes the content of brokerage research reports made by the analysts following the company. These abstracts include the sell-side analysts recommendations and usually represent a 6-12 month outlook. This report also provides the analyst's Track Record.
