Note
DescriptionProducer Price Index- Is the measure of prices received by producers at the first commercial sale. The report measures prices for goods at three stages of production: finished, intermediate and crude. The index for finished goods generally receives the most attention. Change in this index is the first aggregate inflation measure available for the month. Empirical work has shown that significant surprises in the PPI are correlated with stock price movements.
